These heaters are built for industrial work, running on 400V and pulling 2500W. That voltage choice keeps the current manageable, so you don’t need thick, heavy wiring, and it stops voltage from dropping off over longer runs. And the tube? It’s kept around 300mm long. That keeps the heat concentrated in one spot, so you get a lot of warmth without needing a giant housing. Let’s talk about what’s inside. The tube has a quartz envelope packed with halogen gas. This is the secret to keeping the output steady over time—it stops the filament from going dim. The inner surface has a special coating that filters out the shortwave UV while letting the infrared through. So you’re protected, and so are the materials around you. And for the wiring, we use an R7s connector. It’s an industrial standard for a reason—it locks in fast, with the right polarity, and it handles the constant heating and cooling these tubes go through. These heaters are made to be mounted on a wall, especially in outdoor or semi-outdoor spots where the wind just ruins regular, air-based heating. The radiant heat goes straight to people and surfaces, which is perfect for patios, loading docks, or the entrance to a workshop. Now, there is a trade-off.
