Going modular means more connectors, and in the world of electronics, every junction is a spot where things could go wrong—especially if the seals aren’t tight. To fix that, we use high-temp terminals. They don’t warp or melt when things get hot. Also, this setup takes up a bit more room than a thin, poured-in heating film. You lose a few millimeters of space. But honestly? That’s a fair trade for a mirror you can actually fix in the field without calling in a full construction crew. Making things last It’s just physics. After five years, quartz or halogen elements are going to wear down. That’s just what they do. With this setup, you only replace the worn-out tubes. The rest of the electrical guts stay exactly where they are. You don’t need to buy a whole new system every time a tube pops. Just grab a replacement with the same wattage and voltage, wire it up, and your mirror is warm again.
